Heavenly Father, you are the God of relationship across the miles. We don’t see you, yet believe. You are with us in spirit through your Holy Spirit. I pray for those with distant relationships, children off to college, grown children off to make their way in the world, family members moving to start new jobs and those who work and live outside our circles of personal contact. Strengthen the bonds between them, Father. Make them strong enough to hold true even in the absence of one another. Holy Spirit, be our common source. Speak to us, though we live miles apart. Hold us close to the Father’s heart. Almighty God, your hands are powerful enough to hold us all. Your arm is long enough to reach us all. Unify us by our faith and our love for you and for each other. I ask these things in the name and authority of Jesus, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.
“My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.”
(Psalm 68:3 ESV)
