Almighty God, you are the one true God who offers the one true hope for all nations. You are Father to the fatherless, residence to the homeless and up-lifter of the down trodden. There is no one like you. We anguish in our circumstance, striving in vain in our own strength to sustain. Give us your courageous hope that won’t put us to shame, because you poured your love into our hearts through your Holy Spirit. Let us live victoriously in the Spirit, leaning on your working power and not our own. Forgive us when we doubt, Father. Vanquish those doubts and replace them with holy boldness to tell of your glory in our lives. We ask these things in the name and authority of Jesus, who died to bring us a forever hope in Him, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” (Romans 5: 1-5 ESV)
