Lord, this one in front of me is my neighbor. This one is made in the image of God, like me. This one’s worth is the same as mine, bought by your blood, and written on the stone that was rolled away from the tomb, unchangeable forever. This one in front of me, like me, is broken and searching. May I always look into the eyes of the one in front of me to see the beauty of the soul within. This soul in front of me, like me, desires to know and be known, to love and be loved. This soul in front of me needs forgiveness, like me. This soul in front of me needs Jesus, just like I do. This soul in front of me has great worth, enough to die for, enough for the redemption of the cross. There is no color in a soul. There is but the image of the living God. I reach out to this soul in front of me and pray for our unity in Christ, in you most excellent name and according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.

“for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” (1 Corinthians 6:20 ESV)
